What do I do if I am having trouble connecting to my email account through Outlook or Outlook Express?

Check Your Email Account Settings

If you are experiencing trouble connecting to your email account using Outlook and Outlook Express, check your email account settings. One of the more common causes of connection problems is that the account may be established as an IMAP-based account, instead of a POP3-based account. Your settings should be:

  • Incoming mail server (POP3) - mail.yourdomain.com (where "yourdomain.com" is the name of your domain)
  • Outgoing mail server (SMTP) - smtpout.secureserver.net
